Hey, did you hear the one about the NCAA Division One College Football Game that NOBODY showed up to watch?
Unfortunately, it happened right here in Memphis Tuesday night at the Liberty Bowl.
The Official attendance for the Memphis Tigers game against East Carolina was listed as...
4,117. That's 4,117 in a 65-thousand seat stadium.
And even that small number could've been generous...counting the band and cheerleaders.
I know it was a messy day and all, but, heck, more people showed up for CBHS at M.U.S. last Friday in similar weather..
From where I sit as a former Tigers Player, the message from the fans, however many are left, is LOUD and CLEAR.
The Administration at the University of Memphis MUST do Something to improve the Football Program..and it doesn't start, nor does it end with the current Head Coach.
The 38-to-19 loss to ECU is just a symptom of a bigger problem that will turn into a pigskin version of the H1N1 if not corrected...and soon, before there's Nobody left to count.
