MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Police in four cities across Arkansas and Tennessee are on the lookout for a band of crooks targeting elderly women.
Police say the robbers follow the women from local businesses. One man drives, while a male passenger does the mugging.

Police in Jonesboro, Arkansas, captured a red Ford Taurus on tape, but a silver Nissan Altima was used in a similar attack in Memphis.
A victim who asked to remain anonymous says a car pulled into her driveway and a man got out of the vehicle.

"I thought he was going to ask directions. He got out of the passenger side of the car. I may have even taken a step or two toward him," she said.

But the victim says the man snatched her purse and hopped back into the car.

She says the encounter has left her shaken. "I just don't want to see him again, when I go somewhere, to the grocery or wherever."

It appears two women may be helping out the robbers. The pair has been caught on camera trying to use stolen credit cards.

If you have any information that can lead to a arrest, call Crittenden County Crime Stoppers at (870) 732-4444.
