Officials say Memphis man may have tried to set fire to himself

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Fire officials say a Memphis man may have tried to set himself on fire inside his house. An arson investigation is underway.

The fire started Saturday afternoon at a house on Highland and Powell.

A 911 caller reported a man on fire.

When crews arrived, they found the home's resident, who was no longer on fire.

That man is said to be in okay condition.

Authorities have not said whether he'll be charged with arson.
