MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Memphis police arrested four people Tuesday afternoon wanted in a string of crimes, including burglary, carjacking and running from police.
According to investigators, the suspects were spotted Tuesday in a Nissan they stole during a carjacking Monday night.  Investigators said three of the suspects may have used the vehicle to commit at least two home burglaries.

Police pursued the car after receiving a tip from someone who spotted it going westbound on Winchester Road in South Memphis.  Their car crashed with a Honda Accord while police were chasing it.

"As they topped the hill, I don't know if the suspects got spooked," said Memphis Police Major Anthony Berryhill. "He tried to make a u-turn to go back eastbound.  He struck the Honda Accord."

"When they sideswiped, three guys jumped out the car and fled on foot, and the poor lady in the dark car was yelling for help," witness David Loyd added.

After searching the Nissan, authorities said they found several stolen items inside.

"The only thing I could see was a flat screen TV that was discharged from the vehicle upon impact with the telephone pole," Berryhill said.

All parties involved in the accident were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The four suspects, including a juvenile, are in jail while investigators try to piece together clues surrounding what has been a serious crime spree.
