MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - One person has died following a single-engine plane crash at Memphis International Airport Sunday.

The seven-seater plane missed its runway and caught fire just after 4:00 p.m.

All four people on board, including at least one child, were rushed to area hospitals with injuries.

Emmett O'Ryan of Memphis died at The Regional Medical Center.

The group was traveling from Lewisburg, West Virginia, back home to Memphis.

Airport officials said the plane had been cleared for a regular landing. There were no signs of emergency distress.

"The NTSB would investigate weather, aircraft conditions, available fuel on the aircraft. All of those would be a factor of the investigation," said Airport Authority COO Scott Brockman.

The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
