Several Area Prep Stars Earn TN Mr. Football Honors

White Station Quarterback Anthony Hayes is named Tennessee Mr. Football award winner for a Back in Class -AAA-.

Hayes finished #1 in All Purpose Yardage in the Memphis area during the regular season with 2217 yards and 28 Touchdowns...

Hayes had more than 12-hundred yards passing and almost a thousand yards rushing.

He's leading the Spartans into the Class-AAA-State Championship game, the schools' first, against Maryville December 5th.

M.U.S. Quarterback Barry Brunetti is the Tn. Mr. Football Award winner in Div. 2 Double-A-.

Brunetti finished second to Hayes in All-Purpose yardage by just 17 yards.

He also had 28 Td's.

  Brunetti was named to the U.S. Army High School All-American Team earlier this month.

The West Virginia Commitment, whom we're told may be open to suggestion, will lead the Owls to their second straight State Final Thursday against Nashville MBA.

M.U.S. Has won 25 straight games.

CBHS Jonathan Brown is the Tn Mr. Football Lineman award winner in D-2 -AA-

  He's the son of Ridgeway Head Coach and former Memphis Tigers Linebacker Rod Brown.

And E.C.S. Steven Stafford takes the TN. Mr. Football Lineman honor in Div. 2 Class -A-.

University School of Jackson's Jake Overby takes the Back honor in D-2-A-.
