Fire officials investigating 2 Mid-South blazes

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Local fire officials are investigating two Mid-South blazes.

Authorities in Southaven, Mississippi, are working to determine what caused the Friday night fire that damaged a Cricket retail store, a hair and nail salon and a vacant unit at a strip mall near Stateline Road and Highway 51.

There were no reports of any injuries.

And fire officials in Germantown haven't commented on the cause of a massive house fire that caused $1 million in damages on Devonshire Cove early Saturday morning.

Around 3:00, Firefighters from Bartlett, Collierville, Memphis and Shelby County were called in to contain the the flames at the 8,000 square foot home.

A firefighter sustained a minor injury. No one inside the home was hurt.
