FORREST CITY, AR (WMC-TV) - Three people were found dead Friday morning after a house fire in Forrest City, Arkansas.

The fire broke out just after 2:30 a.m. in a home in the 100 block of Drexel Street, officials said.

Neighbors called firefighters to the scene, believing the occupants of the home were still inside.  After the fire was extinguished, firefighters found the bodies of an adult female and two children.  They were later identified as Essie Oliver, 28, and her eight-year-old twin sons, Patrick and DePatrick.

Fire investigators spent Friday sifting through evidence in search of clues to try to determine what may have sparked the blaze.

"I'm just trying to figure out what happened," said Oliver's Aunt, Bobbi McNary. "I'm sad it happened, but I hope nobody did nothing to the house and stuff."

Family and friends say they can't believe the three are gone.

"That was my girl," said Oliver's friend, Kimberly Hamilton. "And then the boys, the twins, they were some adorable, smart little eight-year-olds.  I'm real hurt.  It broke me so bad last night."

The bodies are being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
