HORN LAKE, MS (WMC-TV) - Authorities are trying to determine who left graffiti with racial overtones on a wall of a girl's bathroom in Horn Lake High School.

Lt. Scott Evans said the graffiti included a "you're going to meet your God" list, names of mostly black students and a coach.

Investigators, who apprised the FBI of the incident after learning of it Wednesday.

"Anything like this when its racially motivated or list of peoples names we always notify them, and forward the reports and any photos to the FBI," Evans said.

Police believe they are looking for a juvenile.

DeSoto County Schools spokeswoman Katherine Nelson said the district is conducting an internal investigation and reviewing a surveillance recording of the area in an effort to identify who put the graffiti on the wall.

"It's a very serious offense to make written threats about anyone," Nelson said. "It's not tolerated. It's not representative of our school district."

She said the student will be expelled.
