Animal cruelty charges filed after fire at apparent puppy mill

TUNICA, MS (WMC-TV) – Authorities have filed charges after a fire at an alleged puppy mill in Tunica earlier this week that left several animals dead.

Authorities in Tunica charged Stacey Adams Moore with 12 counts of animal cruelty.

Moore's trailer home, located in the 1200 block of France Road in Tunica, burned Monday afternoon.

Authorities later recovered dozens of animals from the property.  The surviving dogs were transported to Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society in Oxford, Mississippi.
