UT Targeting Cutcliffe?

The Tennessee Vols could have themselves a new football coach..they're just not saying it just yet.

WBIR-TV in Knoxville first reported former Vols offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe is coming back to Tennessee to be it's new head coach.

But Duke, where Cutcliffe is currently the head coach, and Tennessee are saying a deal has not been reached.

Cutcliffe has been with the Blue Devils for 2 seasons, compiling a 9-15 record.

Before Duke, Cut was head coach at Ole Miss for six seasons, tying for the SEC West title in 2003.

Cutcliffe has also had 2 previous terms as a Tennessee assistant.

Vols Athletic Director Mike Hamilton has said he wants to have a coach in place before Sunday's live recruiting period begins.
