NBA star visits Civil Rights Museum

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - An NBA star in town for the Martin Luther King Day game against the Grizzlies made a stop at the National Civil Rights Museum today.

Amar'e Stoudemire visited the balcony where Doctor King was killed.

The Phoenix Suns star said he was a lover of history and visiting the museum was a great experience.

"We've just got to continue to grow as individuals and learn more and more about where we come from," Stoudemire said, "and this museum shows it."

Stoudemire was also in town to promote his national financial literacy program that teaches young people how to manage their money.
