Rebs Austin Takes Cornell Head Coaching Job

Several College Football Websites and the Los Angeles Times are reporting Ole Miss Offensive Coordinator Kent Austin is LEAVING the Rebels to become Head Coach at Cornell University, an Ivy League School.

Cornell has not yet announced the hire..but a News Conference is schedule for Wednesday.

Austin, a former Ole Miss Quarterback, came back to Oxford when Houston Nutt took over as Head Coach two years ago.

Austin had been a successful player and Offensive Coordinator in the Canadian Football League.

Austin helped guide Jevan Snead and the Rebels Offense to back to back 9-win seasons for the first time in 50-years.

Ole Miss also won the Cotton Bowl two years in a row.
