Pierre Henderson-Niles is No Longer a member of the University of Memphis Basketball team.
That's the word from Tigers Head Coach Josh Pastner.
As we told you earlier in this newscast, no reason was given for Niles being OFF the team.
He had expressed unhappiness with playing basketball on his Facebook Page after the Tigers lost at SMU last week...a game in which he didn't score and had only 2 rebounds.
Niles, a Senior from Ridgeway High School, has seen his playing time diminish lately with the emergence of former Juco All-American Will Coleman in the paint.
Niles started 16 games and played in all 23 this year, averaging just over 5-points and 5-rebounds a game.
Coach Pastner says Niles will complete his degree and graduate in May.
