Mitchell High Retires Thaddeus Young Jersey

Memphian Thaddeus Young won't be at All-Star Weekend, but he gets a huge honor just the same..

Young, who now plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, had his Jersey retired this morning at Mitchell High School, his alma mater.

Young is Mitchell's All-Time leading Scorer, Rebounder and Shot Blocker.

Plus, he made the National Honor Society with a 4.3 Grade Point Average, and was a McDonald's All-American.

Young played one year at Georgia Tech before being taken by Philly with the 12th pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.
