MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The University of Memphis and the University of Missouri will renew football competition in 2015 with a game at the Liberty Bowl.
Memphis is then scheduled to visit Columbia the following year. The two schools last met on the football field in 1999, with Missouri walking away with a 27-17 win at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
Memphis Athletic Director R.C. Johnson says the last home-and-home series was a good experience and the proximity of the two schools works well for each team.
Besides Missouri, Memphis is tentatively set to play Tennessee and Louisville as nonconference opposition in 2015. Tennessee also will be a home game.
