Grizzlies Brewer Begins Rehab for Torn Hamstring

The Memphis Grizzlies are definitely dealing with the injury bug on their roster..

Newly acquired Swingman Ronnie Brewer had the Fred Sanford stroll working as he watched practice Monday at FedExForum..

Brewer just off crutches after tearing a hamstring muscle in his debut with the Grizzlies Friday night..

It happened on a play that was indicative of why the Grizzlies Brought former Arkansas star in from Utah...

Brewer said it was an energy play his done many times, but saw his whole career flash before him when the injury occured as he leaped in pain clutching his leg...He crashed to the floor holding his hamstring for a couple of minutes before teammates helped him off the court. He was taken to the Lockerroom in a wheelchair.

Brewer says he's never really been injured druing his 4-year  pro career.. He only missed one game last year with Utah attending a funeral.

He says he's very pleased his prognosis right now looks like about 3-weeks, and can't wait to get back on the floor with his new team.

Speaking of Injuries, Kobe Bryant is expected to return to the Lakers Lineup off an ankle Sprain when the Grizzlies host Los Angeles Tuesday Night at FedExForum.

Bryant had missed the last 5 games.

Memphis beat the Lakers at FedExForum in their last encounter February First.
