MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A Memphis judge has ordered new DNA testing Thursday in the trial of Lester Street Massacre suspect Jessie Dotson.
Testing will be done for any Caucasian or Asian emergency personnel who came near the body of one of the six victims killed in March of 2008.
Dotson's attorneys argued Thursday that hairs from those two races were found under the shirt of one of the victims, saying they clearly do not belong to their client.
If those hairs do not belong to officers or paramedics, the defense can argue other people were involved in the killings.
Dotson's trial is set to begin September 20.
Jury selection will be in Davidson County because of the high profile nature of this case.
