DYERSBURG, TN (WMC-TV) - The search continues for a West Tennessee teen who escaped from a juvenile lock-up more than a week ago.

Dyersburg police officers say Trevion Reed, 17, faces serious charges after assaulting a guard and escaping from the McDowell Center for Children last week.

Reed was placed in the facility on June 3 after he was picked up on a warrant for evading arrest and failing to appear.

Two days later, Reed attacked a female guard, knocking her to the ground, punching her in the face, and choking her. After the assault, Reed took the guard's keys and escaped from the center.

Since Reeds escape police have still not been able find him.

Investigators are warning the public not to approach Reed if they see him because he is considered dangerous.  If you've seen Reed or know where he may be hiding, call Crime Stoppers at 731-285-8477.
