MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Some dedicated bikers made the ride from St. Jude Children's Hospital to the hospital's Dream Home Wednesday to raise awareness for one of St. Jude's biggest fundraisers.

Bikers from the motorcycle group Southern Cruisers met at the hospital before their ride.

The event is showcasing a 2010 Custom Softtail Motorcycle valued at $30,000.  The bike was built by O's Custom Paint and Mitch Omar and sponsored by Mel Abdallah.  The bike is on display at the St. Jude Dream Home.

Steve Baltimore, a participant in the ride, said the event gave purpose to their play.

"It's the first time we've ever done it," Baltimore said.  "I believe because the motorcycle was donated it kind of falls into our theme of riding for the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital."

Action News 5 is the proud sponsor of this year's St. Jude Dream Home and the home is open for free tours this weekend.

Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home drawing are $100 and all proceeds to go St. Jude.  The winner will be announced Sunday, June 27 on WMC TV-5.
