MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A one vehicle accident Sunday morning killed one man and injured another.

Investigators said it was still a mystery as to why the 44-year-old driver's truck hit a utility pole and flipped over.

Crushed metal and broken glass was all that was left of the yellow truck.

Jamie Hard told police he saw the truck as it crashed.

"Lost control of it, flipped it over and hit the pole," Hard said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  His body was covered with a blue tarp.

A passenger in the truck was thrown from the vehicle.  Paramedics treated him at the scene for minor injuries.

Investigators said they were still trying to determine if the passenger was related to the driver.  They are also trying to determine why his truck, going northbound on Graham, seemed to have lost control before striking a pole.

Hard had taken his son out for Father's Day when the accident happened.  He said it was an image he will never forget.

"It wasn't good," Hard said, "especially on Father's Day."
