In the Unexpected Department, former U of M Guard Robert Sallie has signed to play for a Former Tigers Rival......Louisville!
Louisville's Coach Rick Pitino says Sallie's versatility and experience will help him fit in quickly with the Cardinals, who have lost their Top 4 scorers.
Sallie must complete his bachelor's degree at Memphis this summer, AND Louisville must request a waiver from the NCAA for Sallie to play this fall.
Sallie, who turns 25 soon, spent the last 2 years with the Tigers.
He averaged 10.5 points and 4 rebounds in 22 starts last season.
Sallie is the U of M's Career Leader in 3-point accuracy, making 44% in his 2 seasons.
