COMO, MS (WMC-TV) - Friday, just 48 hours after an early morning shooting killed two people inside a home on Paul White Road in Como, family members were still in shock.

Investigators say Crystal and Tommy Jacobs were shot and killed by a family member, 16-year old Matthew Jacobs.

Crystal was Jerry White's daughter.

"There's been so much going through my mind," he said. "It's the worst nightmare. It was absolutely the worst day of my life."

White explained there was friction between Matthew and his daughter, but would not elaborate beyond that.  The young Jacobs, he said, is smart in some ways but not in others.

"He has a pretty high IQ," White said. "He was smart in school and everything. In the past he's made some foolish choices."

According to the Panola County Sheriff's Department, Crystal and Tommy Jacobs were shot by Jacob in their bedroom early Wednesday morning. White last saw his daughter late Tuesday night.

"She gave me a little kiss and said, 'Daddy, I love you,'" he said. "I gave her a little kiss and said, 'I love you too, sweetheart.'"

Friday, Matthew Jacobs remained hospitalized in The MED, recovering from a gunshot wound to the hand. Officials have charged him with two counts of murder in the case. District Attorney John Champion says Jacobs will be tried as an adult.
