MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - On the first Sunday since fire destroyed the Light of Glory International Church building Tuesday, members are picking up the pieces.

Members and Pastor Stephen Brown jumped for joy less than a week after their church building was destroyed by fire.

"You're still God through the fire," Brown said.  "You're God through the stress we've been feeling this week."

Light of Glory members were thankful because shortly after their church was damaged by fire, other Mid-South churches began to step up.

New El Bethel on Frayser Boulevard donated its sanctuary for Life of Glory's Sunday morning services.  New Life Holiness on Winchester will host Light of Glory's annual July 4th service.

Church member Shirley Brown said the list of supporters keeps growing.

"I would say approximately 10 churches so far have already reached out," Brown said.  "Not only with offers for use of their facility but also their financial support."

Pastor Brown praised the community for their support.

"A lot of churches have reached out to us," he said.  "Memphis got some great pastors."
