Why Grizzlies Like Tony Allen

The Memphis Grizzlies hope they've hit a Home Run in the Free Agent Department by reportedly wrapping up Boston's Tony Allen in a Memphis Contract.

Multiple news outlets report Allen has agreed to a 3-year, $9.7 Million Dollar deal with the Grizz.

Allen was a Key Reserve during the Celtics run to the NBA Finals..guarding the likes of LeBron James, Vince Carter and Kobe Bryant along the way.

The 5-year veteran from Oklahoma State shot 51% from the floor last season.

Boston reportedly wanted to re-sign Allen, but were unwilling to give him a 3rd year guaranteed after re-signing Starters Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to Big Contracts.

Grizz GM Chris Wallace originally drafted Tony Allen when HE was with Boston..

Wallace likes Allens' Toughness, and his playoff and Championship Finals experience can only help Memphis many young players.
