Melrose' Adonis Thomas Picks Tigers

It may not generate the National Furor of Another Famous Decision earlier this Summer by some guy named LeBron James, but around these parts, the Decision by Adonis Thomas on where he'll play his College Basketball caused Heart Palpitations in Basketball Fans throughout the Mid-South.

After Narrowing his list to 5 Schools, Memphis, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, and UCLA...

Thomas went on National Television this afternoon and Picked the Tigers as the team to continue his College Career.

Rated the Number-2 Small Forward in the Land and the Number-9 Prospect Overall, the 6'6" Melrose High star led the Golden Wildcats to the Tennessee State Championship last season.

He's also played on Two USA Basketball Junior teams which won Gold Medals in World Championship competition over the last 2 Summers.

In the end, Thomas says the Tigers last recruiting Class, Rated Number-1 in the Nation, contributed to his decision to stay home.

Thomas said Tennessee was high on his list, but the uncertainty surrounding Coach Bruce Pearls' Future with the Vols for Lying to NCAA Investigators caused him to cross UT off his list.
