MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A Memphis woman went to jail Sunday after police caught her allegedly driving drunk while a baby in her front seat was not strapped in.

Just before noon on Sunday, on Lamphier where it intersects with Highland, officers  made a bizarre traffic stop that landed Cynthia Yarbrough behind bars.

According to police, the incident started with a fight between Yarbrough and another man.  During the argument, which police said happened in the middle of Highland, Yarbrough remained in her car.  She finally pulled off the road when police made her park the car.

As she parked, police noticed a strong odor of intoxicants coming from Yarbrough.  Then, officers spotted a baby in the front passenger seat.  The child was not in a car seat, and was not buckled in.

According to an affidavit of complaint the child, Yarbrough's nephew, was not hurt.  Yarbrough, meanwhile, tried to blow into a breathalyzer, but couldn't.  But when police ran her name, they found warrants for aggravated burglary charges.  Her license had also been revoked - for driving under the influence.

Officers charged Yarbrough with DUI and child endangerment. She was taken to jail, where she remained Monday on $10,000 bond.
