Comic book creator Stan Lee gets Hollywood Star

HOLLYWOOD, CA (CNN) - Superhero creator Stan Lee will be honored Tuesday with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

The honor comes one week after Lee turned 88-years-old and 70 years after his comic book career began.

Lee's characters include Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, The Avengers and Dr. Strange.

Lee says his favorite creation is Spider-Man, "because he's the most popular and he's known and loved worldwide."

Lee still writes new stories for his POW Entertainment company and works on the Stan Lee Foundation, a nonprofit group that focuses on educating children.
