MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Ten people, including five children, were burned out of their Raleigh home Thursday.

Family members watched helplessly as firefighters attacked the flames at 3276 Abbottsford.

"I feel hurt, heartbroken," said Paula White. "Everything is gone."

The fire started as people inside the house dealt with the cold night.

"There's no heat in that house. It feels just like outside," said White. "So we cut the stove on to heat the house up because we have kids in the house."

The five children, ages two months to three years old, were the first to see the fire.

""They came in, they was yelling, 'smoke, smoke, smoke. Get up, there's smoke,'" said Jasmine Lindiment. "Trying to let me know that the house was already trying to catch on fire from the sparks."

All 10 people made it out alive.

White and Lindiment, both young mothers, were left out in the cold. They said their families lost everything.

"Clothes, coats, shoes, Pampers," said Lindiment. "Everything."

The Red Cross assists fire victims temporarily. There was no official damage estimate from Thursday's fire.
