Panty sales could indicate economic upturn

(NBC) - The rise in lingerie sales could be a sign of a good economic future.

If women are willing to buy high-priced bras, they may be willing to buy lots of other things.

A retail analyst suggested strong lingerie sales mean that women consumers are willing to splurge on themselves.

That would be difference from the past two years, when women spent more money on other people, and were more conservative in their underwear spending.
