Gas prices highest in Chicago

CHICAGO (CNN) - Gas prices are on a steady climb across the country, with Chicago holding the highest priced gas in the nation.

The average cost for a gallon of self-serve regular in the Windy City is $3.35, according to the Lundberg Survey.

Analyst Trilby Lundberg said the national average for gas in the U.S. is $3.08. That's a 9-cent hike over the past three weeks.

The least expensive gas is found in Salt Lake City, UT, where prices averaged at $2.73 a gallon.
