MUNFORD, TN (WMC-TV) - An elderly couple was found dead inside their Munford, Tennessee home Tuesday.

Crime scene tape surrounded several houses in a Munford neighborhood Tuesday night.  Investigators were focused on only one house.

An 80-year-old couple, Ed and Bea Walker, were discovered dead in their home by their daughter.  She had come by to check on them.

"As soon as she made it through the door, she got hysterical," said the couple's son-in-law, Kenneth Millican.  "That's when I was on my way."

Millican said the door was locked and his wife used a spare key.  He said the couple had been shot.

Millican's wife told him she had spoken with the couple around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.

"She spoke with her mother on the phone," said Millican.  "She said, 'I love you, sweetie,' and everything was normal."

Neighbors, like Erin Kolbeck, were horrified as they stood and watched.

"It's a very good neighborhood," said Kolbeck.  "Very quiet, sweet people.  Good neighbors."

Relatives said Ed Walker was a retired firefighter.  He worked at the Navy base in Millington and owned Walker TV Repair in Millington.
