Cookie company helps disabled bring in the dough

LARGO, FL (CNN) - A Florida bakery has created jobs for people with disabilities.

Casey's Cookies was named after Casey Torman, a young woman born with birth defects and a rare disorder.

"I do dishwashing, do the cookies, to put them in the tray," Torman said. "Then, I package them and I put them in a basket."

After Torman graduated from high school with a special degree, it was difficult for her to find a job.

Torman's parents started the company to help people with disabilities find work.

Casey's Cookies is located in Largo, FL, and they bake Vermont maple, chocolate chip and cinnamon chip oatmeal cookies.

Volunteers are there to provide help when it is needed.
