MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) – One person was killed early Thursday morning during a shooting at a Memphis market.

Police were called to the scene at the Crown Supermarket, located in the 3600 block of Jackson Avenue, around 9:15 a.m.

Witnesses said someone shot the victim in the face after an altercation broke out.  According to Lt. Col. Rowena Adams, when officers arrived, they found a man in his early 20's who had been shot to death.

"There were actually two brothers who were involved in a domestic dispute with an unknown male black, and during that disturbance apparently a shot was fired," Adams said.

Officers are still searching for a suspect in the shooting.

"I believe the weapon has been recovered, but we're still looking into all the facts of the case," Adams said.

Investigators have not determined if the victim was an employee at the store.
