MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - The man arrested after he left work at a restaurant equipment supply company has been identified as a former Peabody Hotel duckmaster.

A video posted on YouTube features accused bank robber Daniel Fox.

"One of the perks of being duckmaster, you don't have to wait for the elevator," said Fox in the video.

From 2003 to 2006, Fox tamed the ducks as the hotel's most recognizable employee.

The duckmaster cares for the drakes and mallards, as well as handles all interviews, like the one posted on YouTube.

"It actually started out as a hoax or a practical joke," said Fox.

During his tenure, the story featured the Peabody and its most famous occupants. The five-minute video was produced by TennesseeTreasures.net and starred Fox long before he was accused of robbing the Suntrust Bank inside Kroger at Poplar and Kirby.

Fox originally demanded all the $100 bills, but eventually made off with $50, $20, $10, $5 and $1 bills.

The heist was caught on surveillance camera. Fox's ex-wife recognized him on television and called investigators.

The FBI charged Fox with one count of bank robbery. His bond was set at $5,000.
