CLARKSDALE, MS (WMC-TV) - Clarksdale investigators need help tracking down the suspect responsible for shooting and killing a man inside a barbershop.

According to Clarksdale Police Chief Greg Haskins, 20-year old LaTravion Perryman is wanted for murder.

"I just know that he is the person that did the shooting, and that's who we're looking for," Haskins said.

Around 10:35 p.m. Friday, police were called to Toney's Barber Shop.

"Upon arrival we discovered 32-year-old Derrick Ross had been shot once," Haskins said.

Police say there was a fight between Perryman's brother and Ross. That's when Perryman pulled out a gun and shot Ross in the face. Ross was taken to the hospital where he later died. Investigators believe this shooting is tied to an earlier incident.

"On January 9th, we had a double homicide," said Haskins, "and we think that this stemmed from that particular shooting."

Russell Haulcy cleans up at the barber shop, and worked with Ross at the casinos.

"He was a hard worker. He was loyal, and things like that there," said Haulcy. "I can't say nothing but good things about him."

Haulcy hopes Ross' killer is caught.

"It was sad the way it went down," he said.

Police are working hard to find Perryman.

"If he turned himself in, that's the way it will go, but if we have to find him, then we'll have to look for him as if he's armed and dangerous," said Haskins.

If you have any information that could help Investigators find Latravion Perryman, call the Clarksdale Police Department at 662-621-8151.
