MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - The University of Memphis dance team won big at the nationals, but video of their reaction to the news is going viral.

In January, Memphis Pom won top prize for a hip-hop routine at the Universal Dance Team competition in Florida, but the broadcast did not air on ESPN until last weekend.

"Becoming the national champions was just the most amazing thing we've all experienced in our entire lives," said co-captain Marina Barrett.

Their reaction to the victory has now gone viral.  Barrett's uncontrollable elation on ESPN is spreading.  The video received more than 37,000 YouTube hits in 24 hours.

"It's my senior year, I'm graduating and we've all worked so hard," said Barrett.  "I let everything go.  I was just like so pumped, I wasn't able to contain myself."

Memphis Pom has a long history of championship wins.  They are hoping to capitalize on their unexpected online exposure.

"I think that could be cool for the girls to maybe get some recruits to come out and be on this team," said Barrett.  "Because it's a great team."
