MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - With the Memphis Grizzlies winning on the court and at the ticket counter, Memphis is catching Grizzlies fever.

When the Memphis Grizzlies ticket office opened Tuesday morning, fans rushed to buy tickets.

"I think it will be fun to see some dunks," said student Annie Hao.

"I'm from Memphis, so I feel good when they win," said Grizzlies fan Tasha Blakely. "I feel great."

Fans did not seem to mind getting rained on outside the FedEx Forum's ticket office.

"Shout out to Zack, Mike Conley, D.A, Tony Allen, the whole staff," said Grizzlies fan Nichole Wilson. "Y'all just all the way in. And if you need me I can probably shoot a three, draw a foul, or something."

Grizzlies officials said they are loving the resurgence of fan support.

"It says a lot to how this team is finally connecting with the community in a way it hasn't done since our playoff runs back in 2003, 2004 and 2005," said Memphis Grizzlies senior marketing director John Pugliese.

Grizzlies merchandise sales are also going through the roof. Officials said they are seeing an increase in traffic at the Grizzlies store and online sales.

"When I tell you I love Memphis Grizzlies, I am the number one fan," said Wilson. "Actually, they should give me some free tickets."
