MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - The family of a missing Memphis man found murdered and his body dumped asked Thursday for help tracking down his killer.

The body of 60-year-old AC Scott was found at the corner of Plant Road and Boxtown Road in T.O. Fuller State Park near McKellar Lake.

Vickie Scott, the victim's sister, is heartbroken after her brother was murdered sometime over the weekend.

"He didn't deserve this," said Vickie Scott.  "He didn't deserve this at all."

AC Scott went missing Friday.  Saturday night, a 911 call sent police scrambling to the remote intersection.  They found AC Scott dead.  He had been shot in the back of the head.  His body was wrapped in a blanket and dumped on the side of Plant Road.

AC Scott was the father of five children and the grandfather to seven.  Family members showed up at the state park Thursday to try to make sense of the situation.

They described AC Scott as a construction worker, a cook and family man always in the company of his sisters and children.

"This is the kind of stuff that happens when there's drugs involved, or gambling, or something," said Sarita Wallace, AC Scott's niece.  "And AC wasn't involved in any of that."

No one has been charged and the killer is still on the loose.  Police said they hope to snare a tip that cracks the case.

"He was my loving brother and I miss him," said Vickie Scott.  "Just need answers.  We need answers."

Memphis Police described this murder as their crime of the week.  They asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
