Rubber ducks for police charity stolen

In one Chicago suburb, about 1,200 rubber ducks were stolen from the Yorkville Citizens Police Academy.

"There have been some teenage suspects, names that have been mentioned," said Yorkville, IL, Police Officer Dan Pleckham.

"They were bungee corded and put tarps on the back of a fenced building," said Citizens Police Academy Alumni Lisa Schillinger.

The duck pluck is the academy's biggest fundraiser of the year. For $1, you can buy a duck and help buy X-ray equipment for the Yorkville Police Department.

The groups usually raises $3,000 to $3,500..

Since Tuesday, a couple of hundred ducks have been recovered in Kendall, DeSalle, and Dekalb counties.
