Memphis on the Move: Event updates July 2-4

(WMC-TV) - Memphis is on the Move this 4th of July weekend as people all across the Mid-South celebrate Independence Day with lots of outdoor events and of course fireworks, food, and family fun. Here is a preview.

The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum has a special treat for Beatles fans as they host the Beatles hidden gallery.Thirty-six of the recently discovered photos will be on display this 4th of July weekend Saturday at 10:30a.m. through September 11.

You can celebrate the 4th of July on Sunday at Mud Island River Park. Riverfront Development brings it's fireworks show to downtown Memphis for the Independence Day celebration. The celebration begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the fireworks show at 8:00 p.m.

Also on Sunday, Comcast is hosting it's annual Firecracker 5k run benefiting St. Jude at the Racquet Club at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, Independence Day celebrations will take place all across the Mid-South. If you live in or around Germantown on Monday there will be a Fireworks Extravaganza celebration at the Municipal Park.
