MPD officer charged with aggravated assault

(WMC-TV) - Another Memphis Police officer has found herself at the center of an aggravated assault investigation.

According to an affidavit, Rosemary Small pulled a gun on her husband and pointed it in his face during a verbal altercation. The report said it happened while she was off duty.

Small was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She has since been released from jail on bond.

Small has been relieved of duty with pay pending the outcome of the investigation. She has been with the Memphis Police Department since 1987.

This comes after Memphis Police officer Amy Dunn allegedly threatened another driver with a gun during a verbal altercation.

Dunn is set to face a judge by video Tuesday. She has been on the force since 2001 and has also been relieved of duty with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
