(CNN) - iPod sales are down as the buzz surrounding iPhones and iPads increases.
Apple sold just 7.5 million iPods in the most recent quarter. That's the lowest number since the fall of 2005.
Unit sales fell 20 percent from a year ago, and revenue from those sales dropped 15 percent.
But, it's not all bad news for apple. The company still holds a 70 percent share of the MP3 player market.
The iPod brought in more than $1 billion in sales in the past three months.
