KLAMATH RIVER, CA (KIEM/CNN) - A whale has taken quite a liking to a river on California's North Coast.
The 40-foot gray whale showed up in the Klamath River about a month ago.
Crowds still flock to see it, dodging highway traffic to catch a glimpse of the animal.
Biologist have used dozens of methods to lure the whale back to the Pacific Ocean but it won't go.
Scientists monitoring the animal's health expect it will leave when its food supply runs dry.
