LOS ANGELES (KTLA/CNN) – Rapper ‘The Game' is in trouble over alleged Twitter prank involving a Los Angeles, CA, sheriff station.
"The people that were legitimately calling through with important calls would include: two robberies, a spousal assault, a missing person, a hit and run," said Los Angeles County Sheriff spokesman, apt. Mike Parker.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives are considering misdemeanor charges against Jayceon Taylor, for allegedly tweeting the phone number of a Compton sheriff's station.
Taylor, who got by the stage name "The Game," allegedly tweeted the number in connection with a music internship he is offering.
The tweet prompted hundreds of his followers to flood dispatchers and deputies with phone calls Friday evening. Authorities say the incident delayed response to urgent calls.
Representatives for Taylor could not be reached immediately for comment, but Taylor said on his Twitter page the incident was "an accident."
