Pressure mounts for Christie presidential bid

TRENTON, NJ (CNN) - Some Republicans are hoping New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will change his mind about running for president.

The Garden State's governor has repeatedly said he has no interest in a 2012 White House bid.

But a source close to Christie said pressure has "ratcheted up" after the Iowa Republican straw poll in Ames, IA.

There were reports early Wednesday that focus groups were being conducted on Christie's behalf.

However, that news has been denied by two sources, including one of Christie's advisers.
