(WMC-TV) - A Mid-South man is desperate to find a missing family member.

Tuesday, Michael Estes said he was praying that his grandmother, 70-year-old Scarlet Williams would be found safe and sound.

Estes says Williams disappeared from Wolfchase Galleria Mall on August 19 after getting into an argument with him.

"She got upset," he said. "She walked off.  It was a Friday, about 7:45pm, and she took off and we haven't seen her since."

Estes says his grandmother had only been living in Horn Lake for a few months.

"She just moved here from Oregon to meet her great-grandchildren and spend some time with them," he said.

Estes is worried because his grandmother has health problems and needs medications.

"She's got diabetes and is not taking her diabetic medicine," he said. "She recently quit taking her anti-depressants, and this could be the result of it."

As investigators search for Williams, Estes is still trying to understand what happened to his grandmother and why.

"We'd really like to know what happened or what is going on," he said.

Anyone with information that can help authorities is asked to call Memphis Police Department's Missing Person's Office at (901) 636-4479.
