(WMC-TV) - The wife of missing Mid-South hunter Bill Lawrence spoke exclusively with Action News 5 Friday.

Kim Lawrence hasn't heard from her husband in over two days.  The last she spoke with him was Wednesday.

"He called and told me he loved me and he'd see me in the afternoon when I got home from work, and he wasn't here when I got home," she said.

Bill Lawrence went hunting in Shelby Forest with three friends Wednesday morning. His wife says the three friends dropped him off at one location, came back later, and he wasn't there.

He hasn't been seen since.

"I don't know why he would let himself get separated in an area he didn't know," she said. "I don't know if he fell asleep and got disoriented...I just don't know what he was thinking."

Kim Lawrence said her husband suffers from asthma, but has no other health issues. She feels helpless because she doesn't know where he is or what's happened to him.

"Since he's not shooting his gun, I think he's been separated from his gun, and he's so far out they can't hear him or he's not able to holler for help," she says.

Bill Lawrence was scheduled to go back to work Friday morning, but instead, many of his co-workers are searching Shelby Forest for any sign of him.

"Keep praying that we'll find him," his wife said. "I know there have been many prayers going out. I appreciate it. Please keep praying."
