UPDATE: Teen located, Endangered Child Alert canceled

UPDATE: A West Tennessee Endangered Child Alert has been canceled.  Wednesday morning, officials safe Leeann Weaver has been located, and her father is in custody.

(WMC-TV) - Action News 5 received the following information from the state of Tennessee:

A West Tennessee Endangered Child Alert has been issued for the Hardin County Sheriff's Department for 13-year-old Leeann Weaver. Leeann is a Native American Indian, who stands 5'4" tall and weighs 119 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange University of Tennessee Volunteers shirt and blue jeans. Leeann also wears braces.

Leeann Weaver was last seen in the company of her father, 61-year-old Lee Weaver, who assaulted Leeann's mother and fled with the child.

Lee Weaver is a Native American Indian and has black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5'10" tall and weighs 250 lbs. Weaver was last seen driving a gold newer model Chevrolet Malibu with an Ohio license plate. The car is a rental vehicle. He was last seen on Hwy 57/25 in Hardin County, Tennessee at approximately 4:25 p.m.

Weaver is believed to be armed with a baseball bat. He is possibly in route to McIntosh, Alabama or the Indian Reservation in Atmore, Alabama. His route of travel may be through Tupelo, Mississippi.
