(WMC-TV) - She's only 18 years old, but she already knows her passion in life, and she is showing the world.

"Memphis 18" is Bonner Williams take on the city she loves to photograph.

"I like shooting unique things that don't really have particular obvious things that they say," Williams said in a recent interview about her photographic subjects. "But I can find a unique aspect of it and make it speak for itself."

Williams, a senior at Hutchison school, discovered her passion of photography just three years ago. An intro to photography class helped her, but says she knew even before that class photography had become a passion for her.

Now, three years later, Williams has landed a position in the Hutchison Leads internship program at "For Memphis" magazine. Williams thought she'd only be behind the scenes and running errands, but it ended just this September with a photographic exhibit of her own at "Art Under a Hot Tin Roof" on South Main in Downtown Memphis.

"It allows me to show 18 pictures through the eyes of an 18-year-old, which is how I see Memphis and all it's different aspects," is how she describes the meaning of "Memphis 18."

Williams' exhibit will be on display through September 23rd. She plans to further her photography education while, possibly, coupling it with architecture or graphic design. She's also established her own photography business. You can contact her at: http://wix.com/bonnerwilliams/photography.
